OPEN LETTER: RUNWAY POSTPONED

HELLO,

It is hard to put into words how I am feeling right now.  Part of me wants to stay positive and know that taking these steps to protect my family, friends, and clients is for the best and life will get back to normal shortly.  The other part of me is devastated.

I have spent the past six months planning, building teams, sewing garments, and so much more in preparation for my debut runway show at The Brandywine River Museum of Art on March 28th.  I hoped to create an experience for this community to come together around art and fashion like it never has before and I still plan to do so. The reality is that this is not the right time. I know I am not the only one having to make these difficult decisions for our small businesses.

In this time of unprecedented and unexpected change, we all must do what we can to keep each other safe.  And for me, that means postponing my show and suspending shop hours until further notice. I will be monitoring and following all recommendations regarding gatherings and close contact.  Because let’s face it, things get personal in the dressing room.

In this time of uncertainty, I am going to continue to do what artists do.  I’m going to paint, reflect, and prepare for an even better event for everyone when the time is right.  I have been in close communication with the Brandywine River Museum of Art and will be announcing a new date for the show when the time is right.  For now, I have taken some time to upload original artwork to my website davidferron.com until the collection launches.

If you have any questions feel free to send me an email at dcferron@davidferron.com or call me at 610.470.1254.

Love,

David
