Draped in the light

Project

Feb 2012

The origin of these designs traces back to an abandoned tire that hung in my Brooklyn apartment's living room. Observing the intriguing interplay of shadows transforming and dancing around the space when the sunlight filtered through, I was inspired to explore the use of light as a dynamic element enveloping the human form. In this collection, I sought to replicate these ethereal "light drapes" by employing lightweight and reflective materials, capturing the mesmerizing shadows that once graced the walls of my apartment.
